Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Ice Zoo Board application ("the App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Ice Zoo Board is a web-based hockey scoreboard application that provides real-time score tracking, timer management, penalty tracking, and display synchronisation across devices. The App is provided free of charge for personal, recreational, and non-commercial use at hockey rinks, tournaments, and practice sessions.
3. User Accounts
- You must sign in with a valid Google account or email address to access the operator (control) interface.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must not share your operator account with unauthorised individuals.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
- Upload content that is offensive, infringing, or harmful
- Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code (beyond what is publicly available on GitHub)
5. Content You Upload
You retain ownership of any content you upload (such as team logos and league branding). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content within the App for the purpose of providing the service. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you upload.
6. Availability and Modifications
We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance.
7. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services including Google Firebase. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Use of the App is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ice Zoo Board shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Open Source
The App's source code is publicly available on GitHub. Use of the source code is subject to the terms of the applicable open-source licence in that repository.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
